I. Pre-operation Inspection

1. Check All Bolts and Fasteners

Inspect all bolts on the hopper/body, spreading mechanism, chains, drawbar, and PTO driveline for looseness, cracks, or damage. Tighten or replace fasteners as required before operation.

2. Lubrication Points

Apply water-resistant grease to all lubrication points, including bearings, grease fittings, and hitch pivot joints, to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear.

3. Drive System and Chains

Check the conveyor chain and sprockets for deformation, excessive wear, or foreign material blockage. Adjust the chain tension when necessary.

Remove any ropes, crop residues, weeds, or other debris wrapped around the beater shaft or spreading discs to prevent operational failures.

4. Hydraulic System (For Truck-Mounted Models)

Inspect the hydraulic oil level and check hydraulic hoses for leakage, aging, cracks, or damage.

Confirm that electrical wiring, connectors, and control components are intact and protected from water intrusion.

5. Tires and Wheels

Check that tire pressure is within the recommended range.

Remove stones or debris trapped in the tire tread and inspect the wheel rims for damage or deformation.

6. Empty Running Test

Before loading manure, perform a short no-load test run to confirm that the machine operates smoothly without abnormal noise, vibration, or jamming.

II. Maintenance After Every Use (Most Important)

1. Completely Empty the Hopper

Never leave manure inside the hopper overnight.

Residual manure can harden, accelerate steel corrosion, and cause the conveyor chain or moving components to seize, affecting the next operation.

2. Clean the Entire Machine

Use high-pressure water to clean:

Hopper inner walls

Bottom conveyor chain

Beater shaft

Spreading discs

Chassis and frame

Remove all remaining manure and slurry to prevent corrosion and material buildup.

Note: Do not directly spray high-pressure water onto electrical connectors, control boxes, or wiring components.

3. Drying and Lubrication

After washing:

Leave the hopper open for ventilation and allow the machine to dry completely.

Apply fresh grease to all grease fittings and push out old contaminated grease.

Spray anti-rust lubricant on chains and exposed moving parts to protect against corrosion caused by manure moisture.

4. Inspect Wear Parts

Regularly check the condition of key wear components, including:

Conveyor chain plates

Scraper bars

Beater blades

Spreading blades

Monitor wear levels and prepare replacement parts in advance to avoid unexpected downtime during operation.
